Will I have chores?
Yes. Along with other basic tasks, patients are responsible for keeping their rooms clean and in order, and for making their own bed every morning.

Are there visitation hours?
Yes. Visitation is on Sundays from 3:00-5:00 p.m. for adults and 12:00-2:00 p.m. for adolescents. No visitation is allowed for the first Sunday so that patients have an opportunity to integrate into the program and stabilize from detoxification if necessary. Visitors must be approved by the case manager prior to visitation and will be limited to family members.

Do you offer a family program?
Yes. The Camp offers a three-day family program that is held every other weekend. Family members and significant others are strongly encouraged to participate in education and group discussion on addictions, family dynamics, the role of AA/NA/CA and Al-Anon/Nar-Anon, therapy and recovery resources, and other topics.

In addition to the weekend program, we establish contact with families upon admission, engage in a family assessment session directly or by telephone, utilize brief family counseling on a case-by-case basis, and share the discharge and continuing care plan with appropriate family members.

Yes. Incoming mail will be received by the receptionist Monday through Friday and distributed to patients. Patients may send outgoing mail by placing it in the reception area.

Will I learn about the 12 Steps during drug rehab at The Camp?
Yes. Our treatment philosophy is based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. In addition to participating in meetings at The Camp, you will be given information about 12-Step meetings in your home area. You will learn about working with a sponsor and how you can utilize 12-Step recovery programs to maintain a clean and sober lifestyle.

Is there a dress code?
Yes. We ask that patients do not wear clothing representing gang colors, drug culture or containing other inappropriate logos. No tank tops, midriff shirts or short shorts are permitted, and men are expected to wear shirts at all times (except when swimming) and wear pants that fit at the waist/hip. One-piece bathing suits are to be worn at the pool and cover-ups must be worn to and from the pool area.
