Therapist

Mariangela Rossi is a licensed Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) with The Camp Recovery Center. She earned her Master of Social Work degree and an Advanced Social Work Practice in Mental Health Certificate from San José State University. Mariangela has provided individual and group therapy in educational and interim housing settings throughout Santa Clara County, supporting individuals through emotional challenges, life transitions, and recovery.

Passionate about social justice and equitable access to care, Mariangela is committed to advocating for underserved and marginalized communities. During her graduate studies, she spearheaded a research project examining diagnostic delays in women’s healthcare and the systemic barriers that contribute to disparities in treatment and outcomes. This work further strengthened her dedication to empowering clients and ensuring that individuals feel heard, supported, and valued.

Mariangela believes meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, compassion, and collaboration. As a trauma-informed and culturally responsive therapist, she takes a client-centered approach that honors each person’s unique experiences and strengths. Her therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients develop practical skills, increase self-awareness, and create lasting change. She strives to support clients in building lives that feel authentic, purposeful, and aligned with their values.

Beyond her clinical practice, Mariangela enjoys reading, baking, and learning about ancient history, interests that reflect her curiosity about people, stories, and the ways we make meaning of our experiences.
