Mia Clark, CADC-II

Director of Outpatient Services

Mia started at The Camp Recovery in 2008 as a Clinical Tech, compelled to inspire life, truth, beauty and joy as she walked alongside people in their journey to recovery. Over the next 13 years, her bright personality and empathetic wisdom helped Mia grow through many roles such as Lead Clinical Tech, Case Manager, Lead Case Manager, and Counselor. Though she has been shaped by over 15 years of experience in the field of addiction recovery the motivations of her heart have remained the same. First and foremost, Mia wishes to be a mentor, an example, and an inspiration both to the clients she treats, and the clinicians she instructs.

In 2018, Mia was invited to teach and support the formation of The Camp Alcohol and Drug Academy.  Within a year, her passion and skill for training clinicians quickly elevated her to the role of AOD Academy Director.  Mia not only loves to help equip her students to serve in the recovery field, she has a deep desire to see them transformed in the process. Her dedication and perseverance were acknowledged in 2019 when The AOD Academy won School of The Year at the CCAPP annual conference, an award she proudly received alongside her mentor and the founder of The AOD Academy, Shona Sullivan. Mia also received the CCAPP Visionary Award in 2021, which pays tribute leaders who give, advocate, and volunteer for positive change and inspire innovation, differentiation and growth. In addition to her responsibilities with the AOD Academy, Mia also took on the new adventure of managing The Camp’s Partial Hospitalization Program in 2021.

Even with her busy schedule, Mia still finds time for the other great joys in her life. She loves to serve the larger community, including providing food, supplies, and gifts to the homeless and families affected by addiction during the holidays. She is co-founder of The Blessing, a fundraising website selling products to raise money for people in need. Mia is also grateful for the privilege of being a wife and mother and enjoys involving her family in her charitable work. The belief that we are better together is one of Mia’s most important guiding philosophies.
