Residential Treatment Programs
Rehabilitation, after detoxification, is usually the next step in the recovery journey. An individual case manager works closely with the resident to address the accompanying behavioral, emotional, and spiritual aspects of the addiction problem. This is accomplished through group and individual counseling, art, recreational and experiential therapies, educational discussions and exposure to the 12-Step process and meetings. The physician and nursing staff continue to monitor any biomedical needs.
By the end of the treatment, usually 28-30 days, the residents are made aware of the potential for relapse and the importance of living in a supportive recovery environment. Referrals to a day treatment, outpatient, a recovery home and/or private therapy are also considered and given.
