Detoxification Programs
The first phase of rebuilding a life is always the most difficult part of the journey. Often, the primary step on the road to recovery may be detoxification.
At The Camp Recovery Center, the primary goal of detoxification is physical stabilization under the supervision of a physician certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine in addiction medicine, nurses, and addiction counselors. Medication may be necessary to help ease the withdrawal symptoms associated with certain drug or alcohol use. A thorough assessment will determine the necessity of a detox program.
Some patients may experience physical withdrawal symptoms as their body detoxifies from the chemicals they have been taking. Withdrawal is a limited physical and emotional process that may make the patients' first few days in treatment the most challenging.
The Camp Recovery Center's cutting-edge opiate detox program utilizes subutex® and suboxone®, or buprenorphine hydrochloride, as well as alcohol detox, detox from benzodiazepines, meth, cocaine, and all other drugs. Once stabilized, the resident is ready to begin a structured treatment program that can bring together the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of the recovery process. The Camp's goal is to provide the resident with all available resources to help recover and return to a healthy, drug-free life. This is a partnership for life.
