Day Treatment Programs
Day treatment is most helpful after completing a residential treatment since it gives the continuing support so important to recovery. With the support of peers and caring staff, the individual can return home having the newly learned skills to assist staying chemical free
Some patients may need more treatment than provided in the residential treatment program. Recognizing this, The Camp offers two approaches of treatment – living at home or sober living houses. The patient now has the opportunity to apply the skills and tools learned in a home or sober living house environment. Prior to discharge, peer support and caring staff assist the patient in transitioning to the real world.
Day treatment meets every day, for nearly a full day, but the patient returns home or to a sober living house every evening. Day treatment, like residential, offers individual counseling, group therapy, disease and recovery education, 12-step orientation & meetings, as well as other activities. With the help of others, the individual learns the tools needed for sobriety.
Day treatment also provides a chance to continue to work on problems and challenges that the patient identified in residential treatment. The patient has the chance to bring challenges from home back to treatment each morning and use the resources of the group and counselors to solve them. It is a safe and supportive place to celebrate the successes as well.
Sober living houses are for patients who are looking for safe places to live while attending day treatment. Sober living houses are safe residences that provide the patient with a drug-free place to live. They also offer the support of others in helping the patient create a balanced clean and sober lifestyle.
