Nestled on 25 tranquil acres in the majestic redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains, The Meadow Lodge features walking trails, basketball, tennis and volleyball courts, and a large sun-lit swimming pool. This serene environment, coupled with a highly structured and nationally accredited program and State Certified High School, provides the creative backdrop for a new beginning for adolescents struggling with addiction.
THE MEADOW LODGE provides a comprehensive, social-model substance abuse treatment program for adolescents with alcohol and drug use issues. Our program is designed to emphasize the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual transformation of the individual. Our treatment incorporates a blend of the 12 Step philosophy, cognitive behavioral therapy, education and relapse prevention. The Meadow Lodge offers teens individualized, all-inclusive programs delivered by a quality group of experienced professionals including a physician certified in addiction medicine, 24-hour nursing and clinical counseling staff, and the support of a dedicated team of intake, business, dietary, and house/grounds keeping personnel. Our treatment specialists use a dynamic mixture of methods to reach youth, including a ROPES course, experiential therapies, individual, group and recreational therapies, and gender-specific and mixed groups. Time, creativity and information help adolescents see the possibility and potential of clean and sober living.
The Meadow Lodge offers a State Certified School which operates year-round to assist adolescents in maintaining and continuing their educational requirements and readiness for a GED (General Education Diploma).
The Meadow Lodge is licensed by the California Department of Social Services – Continuing Care Licensing and is accredited by CARF (The Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). In addition, we have implemented best practices to continuously assess and improve our quality of care and services.
The Meadow Lodge teaches adolescents how to make good, healthy choices. We then help them build the confidence to make those choices.
For adolescents faced with chemical dependency a new beginning starts with support, guidance and education.
