Family and School Programs
Family Program
At THE MEADOW LODGE, we know the importance of family involvement in treatment. We especially know that parental action, even in the face of guaranteed teen resistance, is usually what begins the process of recovery.
Living with a chemically dependent family member has many hidden and unrecognized levels of stress. This may leave family members feeling tired, angry, worried, resentful, depressed, and even hopeless. Often the family becomes every bit as dysfunctional as the addict or alcoholic themselves, and as such, requires a high level of guidance and support in recovery just as the substance abuser. We provide the programs and support necessary for family recovery as well.
THE MEADOW LODGE offers an intense three-day weekend program designed to begin the healing process, and to deal with some of the pain that occurs in chemically dependent families. Lectures, videos, discussion, and group activities are provided to aid in understanding and healing from the effects of chemical dependency. Our staff works gently, but purposely, to move the family forward.
Rebuilding the family structure is vital to ongoing recovery and relapse prevention. We bring families together focusing on the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of the recovery process.
School Program
• School work can be continued on site via a fully accredited educational program. A credentialed teacher offers daily high school classes, allowing students to continue the accrual of credits while in treatment. Individualized lesson plans are designed for each of our residents.
